August 5, 2025The Future of TAMP Tech Is Here — And Dynamic Built It Around Real Advisor Needs

Dynamic Advisor Solutions has earned a reputation as a standout TAMP by combining deep investment experience, exceptional client service, and forward-thinking technology. While many advisors praise Dynamic’s wide array of portfolios and the team supporting their businesses, the engine powering those benefits is the technology layer—a platform deliberately built to reduce friction, eliminate redundancy, and help advisors operate with greater precision and speed.

In an interview with The Wealth Advisor’s Scott Martin, Justin Patrick, Chief Technology Officer at Dynamic, discussed the firm’s commitment to building a smarter, more intuitive platform, and how Dynamic’s unique approach to technology enables advisors to shift their focus from manual processes and fragmented tools to scalable growth and client service.

A Platform Built for Seamless, Straight-Through Experiences
Advisors evaluating technology platforms often want more than investment solutions. They’re looking for a fully unified experience that simplifies operations and elevates how they serve clients.

The inefficiencies of traditional platforms—duplicated work, disconnected systems, and cobbled-together integrations—create time sinks and can increase the likelihood of errors. Instead of asking advisors to adapt to a rigid system, Dynamic works to understand the way advisors operate in the real world then builds technology to support those needs.

“That’s where Dynamic’s platform and our offering to advisors provides a comprehensive merging of the people and the services with thoughtful technology,” Patrick says. “When we build integrations and automations, we do that in a way that streamlines the advisor’s interface on the front end, but it’s also thoughtfully streamlining our team’s interface on the back end.”

The result is a dual-optimization model that enhances both advisor workflows and internal operations—enabling Dynamic to consistently raise the bar for service delivery and operational scale, ultimately giving the platform staying power in a rapidly evolving tech ecosystem.

Integration with Purpose, Not Noise
Unlike many platforms that piece together third-party tools with insufficient consideration for usability, Dynamic does not tack on software simply for the sake of expanding capabilities. Instead, each addition to the platform undergoes a rigorous review and integration process. Every tool must serve a purpose, fit into the advisor’s journey, and work with minimal friction, with Patrick adding that technology is “rarely” added to the platform without undergoing thoughtful and intentional integration from the team.

“On typical platforms, they’re bolting all this stuff together, but there’s not a thoughtful integration on what that user story looks like from start to finish,” he explains. “At Dynamic, we work with our provider partners across our entire platform to do a thoughtful integration and a seamless presentation of our workflow.”

By collaborating directly with tech partners, Dynamic can customize tools, reengineer workflows, and ensure that each step—whether it’s onboarding a client or rebalancing a portfolio—is as efficient and intuitive as possible.

Ground-Level Feedback, Enterprise-Grade Results
Dynamic’s development process is built around the team’s regular engagement with advisors and prospects to understand pain points, brainstorm solutions, and refine features. Patrick emphasizes that a consistent feedback loop is essential to keeping the platform aligned with real-world advisor needs.

“We don’t come to [advisors] and say, ‘Hey, here’s your solution. I hope you enjoy it,’” he notes. “We spend a lot of time talking to the advisors, understanding what their workflow is and some of the ideas that they have on where we could streamline our platform and where we can make things better.”

The feedback-driven approach stands out in the TAMPs industry, particularly because many providers deliver static solutions and expect advisors to adapt their processes accordingly. In one recent meeting, Patrick notes that a prospect pointed to the listening process itself as a key differentiator. “He said, ‘I’m a prospect, and you’re talking to me about how I want the platform to work and things that you can do to accommodate the way I want to work inside of your platform.’ And he said, ‘That’s a game changer.’”

By centering development on direct advisor input, Dynamic fosters a sense of partnership and responsiveness. As advisor practices grow or shift, the platform evolves—never forcing users to adapt to invariable systems or outgrown tools.

Automation That Powers Human Service
For many firms, automation becomes an excuse to distance advisors from service. At Dynamic, automation is used to reduce wasted time and eliminate friction—without compromising the human touch.

“We are focused on trying to create  the most streamlined experience, as quick and easy as we can make it for the advisors to have a repeatable process for quality service to their clients,” Patrick explains. “We provide, for example, a single interview that’s thoughtful. It only asks questions relevant to the last questions that they answered.”

Behind the scenes, that single interaction can trigger the creation of 12 to 15 database records, all generated automatically. Every integration—from the CRM to the portfolio management system—is wired to populate data seamlessly and accurately, ensuring that advisors aren’t rekeying information or managing complex interfaces.

Crucially, the same automation that simplifies advisor workflows also empowers Dynamic’s service teams, creating what Patrick dubs a “reflexive” experience for both the firm and its clients alike: “We’re streamlining our ability to provide expedient and quality service to the advisors.”

A Smarter Approach to AI
Although “AI” is often used as a buzzword, Dynamic applies the technology with precision. Rather than chasing trends, the firm evaluates each AI capability to determine whether it fits into the firm’s mission: To purposefully deliver its vast experience, relationships, resources, and solutions as “One Dynamic” to its team and wealth advisor clients.

“We operate as a pioneer in the financial tech space because we are the tip of the spear when it comes to innovation with a lot of these solution providers that we work with,” Patrick says. “We’re not just making sure that our experience is streamlined. We’re literally at a point where we’re reshaping the industry tech and what’s capable.”

Dynamic actively works with AI vendors to reconfigure their products around advisor needs. One example: partnering with a note-taking software provider to streamline compliance documentation and eliminate unnecessary steps—ultimately redesigning the product in the process.

That kind of intentional development work delivers more than efficiency. It sets the stage for a future where AI-enhanced systems are secure, scalable, and deeply embedded in everyday operations.

Laying the Groundwork for the Future
Dynamic is committed to looking beyond the status quo. The firm is already envisioning how AI and data intelligence will reshape the way advisors run their businesses.

“We’re still working with our portfolio management partner to streamline the engagement between Financial Services Cloud Wealth 360 and our portfolio management solution,” Patrick explains. “And we’re doing that in a way that is mindful of AI and data warehouses and data lake capabilities.”

The goal: unify data across every touchpoint—custodian feeds, CRM records, portfolio analytics—into a centralized structure accessible to AI engines. With all client and business data flowing into a unified system, advisors can access real-time insights and context-aware analytics without manual report generation. Instead of running reports manually, advisors will be able to prompt AI interfaces and receive tailored answers instantly.

Patrick sees the shift as a natural extension of the work Dynamic has already done to eliminate friction and streamline workflows. “I’m imagining a future very, very shortly where we’re asking for certain information to be provided for us, and the reports are dynamically generated based on our request instead of us going to some report builder tool.”

Advisor-Centric Flexibility
Some advisors want full control over portfolio construction, while others prefer to outsource investment management and focus on client relationships. Dynamic’s platform architecture supports both approaches with equal sophistication, allowing advisors to scale their practices according to their unique strengths and business models.

“There could be times where perhaps the advisor wants to rely on us to provide some of that wealth management experience,” Patrick says. “And then you’ve got the advisors that want to get down and build their own models on the fly when they’re doing a stress test proposal or whatnot.”

That degree of customization gives advisors the freedom to scale their practices on their terms. Whether they’re delegating model management or building proposals from scratch, Dynamic equips them with the technology and service infrastructure they need.

The platform’s flexibility also ensures continuity of experience across all client interactions.

“We make sure that we build the platform in a way that no matter which level of engagement the advisor gets to have with the client, they’re able to have a path that pulls that data back into the system and continue that seamless experience, no matter what the client engagement level looks like,” Patrick says.

The Power of Thoughtful Design
Dynamic stands out not because of any one feature—but because of how every element fits together with intention. From discovery calls to backend engineering, every detail is designed to minimize friction, maximize productivity, and enhance the advisor experience.

Advisors working with Dynamic gain more than a singular platform. They secure a responsive partner who listens closely, adapts quickly, and supports meaningful growth. By combining best-in-class automation, flexible investment support, and a relentless focus on integration, Dynamic offers a blueprint for what the modern TAMP should be. As the industry moves into a new era of AI and automation, Dynamic is not just keeping up—it’s leading the way.
