John Davis joined Dynamic’s Portfolio Services team as an associate portfolio trader in April. This former Division I athlete from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga earned Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. Prior to joining Dynamic, John worked at CollaborativeWEALTH®, an advisory firm headquartered in Lake Mary, Fla. He’s been in the financial services industry for nearly seven years, having previously been licensed for life insurance as well. John was a student-athlete at the University of Tennessee, double majoring in History and Philosophy & Religion, and competing in Division 1 wrestling.

Q. What’s your role at Dynamic and how do you help support our clients?  

A. I’m a member of the Portfolio Services team and I, along with our entire team, help to support our clients by executing the investment requests they have. Our efforts are part of the coordinated engagement of our entire company to achieve success for our clients.

Q. What attracted you to Dynamic, and what compels you to work in a profession servicing wealth advisors?          

A. I was attracted to Dynamic for its progressive engagement in technology and its unique culture. What compels me to work in this profession is the impact we have in providing so many people with a meaningful way to engage in the global economy.

Q. Where do you live? 

A. I live in Florida! I was born and raised here, while leaving the state for some time to live in Fairfax, Va., and Chattanooga, Tenn.

Q. When you’re not working, what’s your favorite activity or hobby?   

A. When I’m not working, I like to spend time with friends and family, and invest in my health.

Q. How do you plan to spend the holidays? Tell us about any special traditions.  

A. I’ll be spending the holidays connecting with family and friends. One tradition that’s been maintained has been the hanging of a stocking that I’ve had since I was an infant.

Q. Who’s your favorite superhero? Why? 

A. One Punch Man. The guy is so strong he can punch anything once to defeat it and still lives a humble life, striving to help his friends in ways that can’t be solved with a punch.
