Kayla Kingseed joined Dynamic’s Information Technology department in September 2019 from Northwestern Mutual. She brought with her two years of experience in financial services, and a degree in financial mathematics from Ohio State University. Her experience thus far has enabled her to assist Dynamic’s team from a unique standpoint: by ensuring Dynamic clients and employees are up to date with the latest software and armed against ever-increasing cybersecurity threats. Kayla helps the IT team at Dynamic keep our cloud-based community afloat. Beyond being one of Dynamic’s friendly neighborhood tech heroes, Kayla is an Ohio native, a volleyball player and an avid reader…

Q&A:

Q. How does your role at Dynamic help support our clients?
A. I work with the IT team to help improve and automate the software used by Dynamic clients and employees. I also maintain the IT help support email and help clients with day-to-day computer issues. Lastly, I onboard new employees; I set up their user access and make sure they have all the necessary software, as well as ensure they are up to date to protect themselves against potential cyber security threats.

Q. What attracted you to Dynamic, and what compels you to work in a profession servicing wealth advisors?
A. One of the things I like the most about Dynamic is how easy it is to communicate with anyone in the company. I’m thankful to be part of a community that cares about the advisors we work with, as well as our coworkers. My position does not require interacting often with advisors, so when I am able to chat with someone during their cyber reviews or tech setup, it’s delightful! It’s also incredibly rewarding to know that my job helps allow for people all over the country to strive for financial stability.

Q. Where do you live in the vast Valley of the Sun?
A. I moved to Chandler, Arizona in September 2019 from Columbus, Ohio.

Q. What’s your favorite activity or hobby?
A. This past year I’ve been playing sand volleyball and pickleball. In my free time I also love to read, hike, and explore local restaurants.

Q. What book is on your nightstand (or e-reader)?
A. I’m a huge reader. I like to read a wide variety of books, but my favorite is nonfiction. A few books I’ve read recently are “The Green Mile” by Stephen King, “King Leopold’s Ghost” by Adam Hochschile and “Writers & Lovers” by Lily King. I’m always looking for new recommendations, so feel free to send me an email and let me know your favorite novel!

Q. What’s your favorite quote?
A. Recently I’ve been feeling inspired by a quote which Father Daniel Berrigan said about Dorothy Day, “She lived as though the truth were true.”

Q. How long is your commute to Dynamic?
A. I work at home, so just one room over!
