Q&A:
Q. What’s your role at Dynamic and how do you help support our clients?
A. As part of Business and Practice Development, I have the privilege of communicating with prospective advisors about their practices and goals while considering how Dynamic can partner with them to reach their goals.
In addition, I focus on the Practice Development efforts for Dynamic and our affiliates, ensuring we create a space of resourceful content and collaboration so all of us can elevate for the benefit of our clients.
Q. What attracted you to Dynamic, and what compels you to work in a profession servicing wealth advisors?
A. I have made a career out of providing service to others for over two decades, having worked at RIAs and in the mortgage and insurance industry. While working with RIAs, I provided service to clients, focusing on building relationships and often became a support person, a confidant and/or coach. Internally, I was supporting advisors, operations and continuously looking at opportunities for developing best practices and increasing efficiency.
In 2020, I spent some time reflecting on my career and what was next for me. Ideally, I was looking for an opportunity that would allow me to leverage my experience while helping others on a grander scale and allowing for work/life balance to pursue other personal goals.
Now, instead of working alongside a few advisors, I get to work with a great team here at Dynamic. I support several advisors, which in turn impacts all of their respective clients AND I get to do all of this from home!
Q. Where do you live?
A. I’m an Arizona native. I grew up in a small town outside of Tucson (Oracle, Ariz.) and moved to the Phoenix area after high school.
Q. What’s your favorite activity or hobby?
A. Dance games and cards with the kids, who are young adults now but I can still get them to play occasionally. Also, I enjoy reading, reflection/meditation, movies…and I have to admit, I like cleaning while listening to music and dancing/singing along…clears the mind.
Q. What book are you reading right now?
A. I currently have multiple books on my nightstand, including one to assist with a goal of writing my own. But my primary focus is finishing “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Dr. Joseph Murphy.
Q. What’s your favorite quote?
A. I instantly think of one of my favorite movies, which I have seen several times…Tombstone…“I’m your Huckleberry.”
However, I’d say most recently I have been reflecting on mindfulness quotes such as, “Your relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship you have.” – Robert Holden
Q. How long is your commute to Dynamic?
A. I am happy to say my one-and-a-half to two-hour (one-way) daily commute for years has officially been reduced to a simple walk to my home office space.
